We Need Space Defenses!

I can't believe this just happened.

We have the technological capacity to prevent this. Thankfully it appears that no one was seriously injured, but this event should be the shot in the arm humanity need to make a seminal step in our history: being able to stop a future mass extinction event.

For one, we owe it to ourselves in exchange for atomic weapons, our human-crafted means of self-annihilation.

It's only a matter of time.
